午後３時頃から、激しい雨と雷に見舞われた堺。場所によっては冠水したりたいへんだったようですが、宵宮が始まる頃には何とか雨も小降りに。
普段人もまばらな山之口商店街も、この時ばかりは雨を避けたふとん太鼓と人で賑わっていました。この後、遅れながら宮入して、この上の写真の場所に４基のふとん太鼓が収まったはずです。
